I am the founder and content creator of American Northwest Magazine, currently operating as both a YouTube channel and a website. Through this platform, I develop and curate content that reflects my expertise, interests, and insights, providing engaging and informative material across multiple mediums. I have always valued written content alongside video, recognizing that many people, including myself, prefer reading over watching at least half the time. Producing both allows for a broader audience reach and deeper engagement. Understanding the importance of diverse content formats, I have chosen to establish a presence in writing. This decision aligns with my goal of creating articles alongside YouTube videos, ensuring my work remains accessible to those who appreciate well-crafted written insights as much as visual storytelling. Through this platform, I aim to complement my video content with structured articles that provide depth, clarity, and a refined perspective.



I am a semi-retired corporate pilot and a fully retired airline pilot, with the potential to return to managing, instructing, and flying corporate jets in the near future. My experience includes positions such as Director of Operations, Chief Pilot, and Check Airman for an air carrier. Additionally, I served as the Administrator of Flight for AMR Worldwide Flight Operations, a division of AMR Corporation, the parent company of American Airlines.



In addition to aviation, I am a musician with a professional background, including performing with my bands Nearly Famous and Get Lucky as part of the Red Lion Hotel chain in 1983 (now part of DoubleTree). Starborn was another band I played in but was not part of the Red Lion chain. Later, in 2018–2019, I was part of Jeff Legg’s band. We became highly skilled after practicing weekly for a year, but I had to leave to teach at the ATR Training Center.



At the ATR Training Center, I instructed on the ATR 42-600 in both Toulouse, France, and Miami, Florida.
